In short statements and vignettes, Cory describes what it's like to have ADHD: how it affects his relationships with friends and family, his school performance, and his overall functioning. Customer Rating: Summary: The 1st book that got my 1st grader to talk about ADHD in a Positive Light! Comment: I can't say enough good things about this book. My ADHD son related to this book so well. It also opened him up to talking about how he related to Cory & asking questions that he had about ADHD. I just about cried because he truly got it & he wasn't afraid or sad about it. I truly feel this book/story empowered him! Every parent, teacher, friend of an ADHD kid should have to read this book. Is every ADHD kid exactly like Cory, well of course not, but the overall picture is very accurate & could be used as a teaching tool for everyone. I just feel this is a great educational book as well as an awesome story!
Sincerely,
One Proud Parent of an ADHD Kid
Customer Rating: Summary: Author Speaks Comment: It is very gratifying to read the reviews from caring parents who have benefitted from the story I wrote. It is exactly what I hoped to do; help someone else who is going through all of the process I went through. By working with your kids, reading and discussing with them, you are making a difference in their lives.
My favorite thing to tell parents is that Cory is now 28 years old, lives on his own, is a safe driver and has been working for Apple for several years as a Mac Genius. He is awesome! Thanks for reading my book!
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book for Kids! Comment: My 8 year old is stuggling with ADD/ADHD and LOVED this book. It helped for him to see that he's not the only kid out there struggling with school work. Written in a humorous way to bring a smile to kids faces.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful book and resource Comment: I have used this book with my students, parents and even teacher faculty and staff - it helps in so many ways for all to fully understand ADHD from a kids point of view - additionally, it provides ideas and concepts that can help the student and teachers further assist in controling and maintaining control while living with ADHD. Highly recommended.
