SpongeBob may be squishy, but his typing skills are on the way to becoming rock solid! Brought to you by the typing experts at Mavis Beacon, now young typists can dive right into the only step-by-step keyboarding program that’s awash with waterlogged hilarity and all their favorite SpongeBob friends! SpongeBob is ready to take on the citizens of Bikini Bottom in the first ever undersea typing tournament. But there’s one problem: our fearless hero can’t type! Learn to type as you help SpongeBob race to the finish – the better you get, the faster he’ll go! Will he be permanently crowned SpongeBob Loserpants or will he win the Grand Prize - A Seanut Butter and Jellyfish sandwich? Can you help SpongeBob become top typist of the sea?

Customer Rating: Summary: Great product Comment: My 8 year old son loves SpongeBob, so I thought this might be good for him. He and I have both played with this program and we both love it. It is fun, yet educational. I highly recommend it, especially to the SpongeBob fans. This is his first typing program so I am glad he is loving it and learning at the same time. I have also done some of the lessons and am improving my typing skills as well.
Customer Rating: Summary: On their own Comment: I bought this for my 11 year old and he was not really into it, but my eight year old got a hold of it and played it none stop. He needed no instruction. He liked doing the practices and the games and he learned quite a bit. I think my 11 year (he showed a little interest watching his brother) will do it but it might require outside incentive, such as a prize for passing a level. I played the game also had foung it engaging. I think it is a very good way to introduce the key board and typing in general. susan in colorado
Customer Rating: Summary: Great games, obsolete software Comment: I bought this for my daughter after experimenting with it in an Apple store; I had so much fun I could barely tear myself away, and I could see my typing skill skyrocketing as I played the games. We are Macintosh (OSX) users, and I have to say that as a piece of software this product is in serious need of an overhaul. It is difficult to load, difficult to launch, freezes often, and is thoroughly frustrating. My daughter loves it, so I bear with the frequent re-boots required to get it running and keep it running, but I am definitely looking for something to take its place. (I bought Mavis Beacon for myself, which is just dandy, but my tender hearted daughter is horrified by the games, which involve tasks such as sending cute smiling cartoon ants to their death.) We love Spongebob and the games are clever and entertaining and offer a lot of variety. I hope someone in the Spongebob franchise reads this and decides to invest in an update.
Customer Rating: Summary: Helped me learn how to type Comment: My parents bought me an older version of this game for Christmas one year (2005 or 2006?) and when I got it, I had no interest in playing it. However, a couple of years later, I decided to try and learn how to type.
It taught me all of the correct fingerings in a really entertaining way, and the games were great. My first day of keyboarding class in 8th grade, my teacher asked where I learned to type, and I said: "The Spongebob Squarepants Typing Game, of course." She was speechless.
I really recommend this game to all parents, as it's a lot better than school typing programs. Don't subject the poor things to learning how to type from an outdated book.
Give them a jump start! It's at a great price, and you won't regret buying it. :)
Customer Rating: Summary: annoying audio Comment: Bought this for my 9 year-old SpongeBob fanatic. Even he said he was sick of hearing SpongeBob after only a few sessions.
