Comment: I purchased "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, Deluxe 20" for my wife because she wanted to improve her typing & computer keyboard skills for work as a RN. The Mavis Beacon line of "Typing Aid" products was strongly suggested to her. This particular version of "Mavis Beacon" was strongly recommended to me by knowledgeable authorities I talked with when researching & shopping for the product. Since receiving it thru Amazon.com purchase, my wife has been diligently using this "Mavis Beacon" teaching aid. She is VERY satisfied with the quality, and feels the instruction she is receiving is definitely fulfilling her objective of improving her typing & computer keyboard skills @ home and @ work!

Summary: Wonderful program!
Comment: I am finding this version of Mavis Beacon to be a great help in improving my typing skills. It's easy to choose a lesson plan, review or play a practice game. At first, the navigation buttons confused me, but I quickly learned how to get back to practice sessions that correct my bad habits. (Since I am self-taught, there are plenty of bad habits.) It's very easy to control the pace of learning and I have only experienced one glitch where the practice game seemed to get "stuck". Even then it was a simple matter of ending the game and choosing a new one. If you want to improve your typing skills, this is a tremendous program and I highly recommend it.

Comment: I purchased this software for a woman I work with who wants to learn how to type. About 8 years ago I learned how to type using a much older verson of this program and I learned so quickly because it was fun. She loves it as much as I did many years ago and she is learning faster than I did.

Comment: I bought this program as a gift for my mother, who is in her eighties. She has always wanted to learn how to touch type, and asked me to find a program that would teach her the skills. She is having fun with it and is very pleased with her progress.
I tried the program myself and found it very easy to use. The program loads quickly from an icon on the computer desktop (Windows Vista operating system), and provides clear written and spoken instructions for the student. It maintains track of your performance and provides feedback as you learn.
Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Deluxe is a completely satisfactory program.
